Dancing Our Stories, Living Our Culture

Our mission is to preserve and promote Alutiiq stories, culture and language through music and movement. By learning and teaching our rich cultural heritage through dance, we strive to educate, inspire, and connect our community to the enduring traditions of our ancestors.

Kodiak Alutiiq Dancers - Celebrating 36 Years of Culture Through Dance

The Kodiak Alutiiq Dancers started in 1987, and have since grown into a passionate group dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Alutiiq people.

Want to request a performance?

The Kodiak Alutiiq Dancers perform for diverse audiences, and even travel to events, large and small. If you would like to request the dancers perform at an event, please fill out the Performance Request form.

We welcome donations

Our dedicated dancers share Alutiiq culture through unpaid performances. Donations support our mission to preserve traditions for the future, covering costs like regalia, instruments, and travel. Your contributions are welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for joining us in preserving the legacy of the Kodiak Alutiiq Dancers.
